US Players Welcome! With over 200,000 simultaneous players during peak hours, Pokerstars is the largest online poker room in the world. They offer several secure deposit options, have a great customer service team, and by far the best game selection. As of August 2009, we are able to offer new players a huge Pokerstars bonus of 100% up to $600. Check out our Pokerstars promo code page for more information.

What separates Pokerstars from everyone else is their huge player base that allows you to find any game you want, 24 hours a day. They also have the best selection of promotions with huge tournaments running every single day. On Sunday’s they run the largest weekly online tournament, the Sunday Million ($1.5 million guaranteed). To show you just how big they are, they also run the 3rd largest weekly tournament, the Sunday Warmup.

Pokerstars is the host of the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), the largest tournament series in the world. This is a series of 45 events with a guaranteed prize pool over $40 million. The WCOOP offers tournament events in all of game varieties, including Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 5 Card Draw, HORSE, 8 Game, Razz, Badugi, and 2-7 Triple Draw.

Lets say it this way – every online poker player should have an account at Pokerstars. It’s clearly the best site online, and it’s the first room everyone should join. If you don’t already have an account at Pokerstars, register now.

Pokerstars Bonus

We can now offer new Pokerstars players a 100% bonus up to $600 instead of the $50 bonus they’ve had for years. To get the bonus, players need to use both codes listed above. Be sure to write them down, then use one of our links to join Pokerstars.

Pokerstars Tournaments

Pokerstars holds more tournaments than any other room. No other room offers so many choices for sit-n-go tournaments, large-field tournaments, or satellites for major events.

Players can choose between hundreds of different sit-n-go variations, for almost any poker game you can think of. At any time of day, hundreds (if not thousands) of sit-n-go tournaments are running simultaneously. Of course Hold’em is the most popular game, but Pokerstars also has a huge amount of traffic for their other games. Single table sit-n-go’s can be found in NL Hold’em, FL Hold’em, Mixed Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha hi/lo, Mixed Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 5 Card Draw, HORSE, HOSE, 8 Game, Razz, Badugi, and 2-7 Triple Draw. Many of these games can be found with regular or turbo blind schedules.

Another popular sit-n-go variation are the Double or Nothing sit-n-go tournaments. In the Double or Nothing SNG’s, tables start with 10 players and the goal is to make the top 5. Everyone who makes it to the top 5 doubles their buy-in. Play in a $10 Double or Nothing, and get $20 back if you make the money. This is not only a safe way for decent players to boost their bankroll, but it’s also great for new players who want a better chance to hold onto their bankroll while they learn the finer points of the game.

The Sunday Million is the largest weekly tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $1.5 million and a direct buy-in of $215. Satellite tournaments for the Sunday Million run every day, and start at just $1.11 or 400 Frequent Player Points. The top prize for the Sunday Million is typically around $200,000. Play in the Pokerstars Sunday Million.

The Sunday Million isn’t the only big Sunday tournament at Pokerstars. In fact, Pokerstars also has the third largest weekly tournament, with a $750,000 guaranteed prize pool. It’s called the Sunday Warm-up, which is funny that the third largest weekly tournament would be called a ‘warm-up’. It has the same $215 buy-in as the Sunday Million and satellites can be played for $.50 or 750 FPP’s.

Pokerstars also runs the Sunday 1/4 Million, the $1 Million Turbo Takedown, the Pokerstars Passport, huge daily guaranteed tournaments and on and on. You name it, they have it.

Satellite Tournaments

Pokerstars is the largest feeder for the WSOP (World Series of Poker), and they also run tons of satellite tournaments for the WPT (World Poker Tour), EPT (European Poker Tour), IPT (Italian Poker Tour), APPT (Asia Pacific Poker Tour), LAPT (Latin American Poker Tour), RPT (Russian Poker Tour), CSPT (Czech-Slovak Poker Tour, ANZPT (Australia New Zealand Poker Tour), Aussie Millions, Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure, World Cup of Poker, and whatever else pops up throughout the year.

Pokerstars Heartland Poker Tour Satellite Tournaments

For US players, Pokerstars now has satellite tournaments for the Heartland Poker Tour as well. If you haven’t noticed, the prize pools for the Heartland Poker Tour have skyrocketed in the last year or two. Instead of $20,000 top prizes, winners are now taking home $200,000 or more!

HPT satellites at Pokerstars are cool because they give players a chance to qualify for HPT events for as little as $8, instead of the $80 range like you have to pay to buy into HPT satellites at live casinos.

When you play in the qualifiers at the casinos, the casinos run them really fast. The blind structures are way too fast to allow the creme to rise to the top – you simply must get lucky at some point. To qualify in the casinos, either get lucky early, or you might have to play several sit-n-go qualifiers before you win your seat. At $80-$330 per qualifier, you better bring a pocket full of cash. By playing in the HPT satellites at Pokerstars, the blind structures are much better, the buy-in costs are less, and the fees are less as well.

I’ve spent a fair amount of time talking to the owners of the Heartland Poker Tour, the announcers, and their cute hostess Katie O’Keefe. I can positively tell you that these are the most likeable people in the poker industry, and they truly want their players to be happy with every aspect of the tour. When you play in an HPT event, it’s almost like your brothers and sisters brought all their friends and ran it themselves (except a lot more professionally of course).

Where else are you going to get a chance to win a couple hundred grand playing poker without competing against tons of professional online or live players? If you want a very realistic chance to play on TV and win big money, play in the HPT. Most of the players in Heartland Poker Tour events are regular people, who happen to love playing poker. They’re construction workers, plumbers, dentists, students, waitresses…people like you and me.

Just for fun…before I met Katie O’Keefe in person I always thought she looked too skinny on TV. When I met her in person I couldn’t believe it – she is absolutely beautiful. Typically people look better on tv than they do in person, this is not the case with Katie. She has perfect features, a great personality, and she’s also an attorney. She has a way of being professional and totally adorable at the same time. Her husband is a lucky guy.

Pokerstars.net Free Poker Games

Players can play free ring games or tournaments at Pokerstars. On TV they advertise the Pokerstars.net site, but whether you go to the .com or .net makes no difference. There is only one download of the site, and you’ll see free and real money games listed in the standard Pokerstars lobby.

Both sites are available in 27 languages. To view Pokerstars.com or Pokerstars.net in another language, use the drop down menu located on the top, right of the Pokerstars home page. If your language of preference is Hungarian, this is a great Pokerstars.hu review.
